NBN Planning Seminar
For starters, let us define NBN:
VISION: To be the number one viable news and information Network reaching Filipinos worldwide.
MISSION: To deliver news and information that leads to a responsible and enlightened Filipino
CORE VALUES: Excellence, Viewer-Oriented, Responsive, Responsible Broadcasting, Commitment
Last Friday, I was hesitant to participate in Tagaytay due to a lot of things to work on for the holidays. Imagine having to leave your two producers for a while and just e-mailing scripts while you’re out of town. But in the end, I was grateful that Ma’am Viz gave me that chance. The activity was invigorating, and as a newbie, I needed this kind of inspiration and morale boost. It was a very good opportunity to meet our bosses and to have a bird’s eye view of our operations. Where are we headed to? What’s our long-term vision? Those were all answered but I won’t dare go into details because some are confidential as of the moment.
As we closed the programme, we hang our wishes to the NBN wreath. With those go my commitment to be a dedicated employee. Kahit maraming kulang, kahit maraming hadlang. "A New Soul" by Yael Naim was our theme song for the workshop. Check out the lyrics and be inspired in undertaking new endeavors or while trying to embrace any form of change.
Outtakes
Siyempre, bawal namang palaging seryoso. Pagsapit ng gabi, tinuklas namin ang hotel. Sa basement, may natanaw kaming elevator. Nakakapagtaka. Please use other fire exit.”
Uy, mukhang may gimikan dun.
