Pahiyas 2010
It was in college when I last visited Lucban, Quzon for my Art Studies class. It was a totally different experience when I went back there yesterday, with Tita Rose, Bryan, Kuya Noel, Ate Nelia, and Kuya Ding.
When we started roaming the streets, Bryan and I had a heart-to-heart discussion upon seeing Pekto's Bakery:
Me: Anong pagkakaiba ng epektos sa kontrabando?
Bry: 'Yung epektos, tools. Ang Kontrabando, kasama na ang epektos at 'yung kailangang i-deliver. Kadalasan, droga.
Whether this is accurate or not, we didn't care anymore. Our attention shifted to the beautifully-decorated houses, none of them missed the leaf-shaped Kiping made of rice.
Kuya Noel already has a Tweety Bird tatoo and we saw him approaching a tattooing area. Kaya sinita ko: "Magpapa-tato ka na naman? Wala kang kadala-dala..."
Of course, we couldn't help but mix business with pleasure, looking at the goods by the roadside. So our editor exclaimed: "Hirap sa inyong mga bata, dapat laging may kasamang matatanda! Pagpapaluin ko kayo e!" I replied with glee, "E 'di ba po mahirap din daw lumakad nang may kasamang matanda?"
And since it's a town fiesta, I had three lunches! First at the ground floor of Dealo's Bakeshop located at La Dona Ana hall, then the extravagant home of Mr. Zaldy Veluz, and finally at the second floor of La Dona Ana where the diplomats were gathered. Hindi nawala ang Habhab, kakaibang Adobong manok, at halu-halo.
After the last superb lunch, we were still able to go around and shop at the Lucban Tiangge. Got a green bag na mukha raw 500 pero nakuha ko ng 360.=)
Pauwi naman, adventure pa rin. Instead of getting stuck in the SLEX traffic, mabuti na lang at may VIP kaming nasundan. Sobrang nakatulong!
And I was still able to attend Jaja's birthday which she celebrated in her boutique, and afterwhich, I went to Starbucks Timog to meet with my long lost friend. Went home at twelve.
