For A Change
We’ve been hearing it since before: Be the change you want to see in the world. Well, they didn’t say it would be easy… But how about challenging yourself for the kind of change that is internal? Problems may remain: You still have to pay the bills, you have to deal with your broken heart, you still have to go to the office doing the same responsibilities… But having a renewed heart can make all the difference.
What kind of life are we living? And how do we perceive God? Do you feel that there is some sort of magical hands that guided all the things that happened? I do. And when I pray, I don’t think of Him anymore as existing out there. He is within.
It is still a struggle for me though. Struggle to control what seem to be automatic responses.
We are created in His image and likeness. We know that. But we need to be reminded. If that is so, then we can retrieve qualities like unconditional love, patience, forgiveness, and so much more. My target for now is to get rid of bias, the frames that I put around people. I want to be more open. To avoid judging them now on the basis of how they acted in the past. And come to think of it: Do we really know others? Do we fully understand them?
Let’s keep the questions hanging.
