Lunch with My Mumu

Last weekend, Angie and I had our second date (since we graduated college). The last one, I have fondly written about here. This time, we happily dined at Sumosam, Gateway mall and realized that the magic hasn't waned through the years, including our love for Japanese food. :D We had Grilled Salmon, Cheese Fried Maki, and Oyster Teppan. I set up Monopoly cards before her soup arrived (the "order by default" Miso soup), but the attempt proved to be unsuccessful. Itabi na ang cards dahil hindi kailangan! Magfocus na lang tayo sa kwentuhan.

We recalled arranging our last meet-up through Facebook. This one's through Gmail, when she replied to my e-mail address change notification. Ano kaya next year? Well, I discovered that Angie is more active on Twitter. Bihira talaga ko mag-log in dito. There must be something wrong with the things I followed that's why I'm not getting much satisfaction. Hihi.

Work and Play

She's been working with the same company for years now. I believe she's been able to handle new responsibilities well and to face the greatest challenges. It's as if giving a chance to prove to yourself that what were thought as limits can actually be conquered. Minsan nga lang, nasaktuhan siya ng boss at natanong ng "Why are you wearing slippers?" nang pauwi na't kapapalit lang. LOL

Telling her about almost two years of experience in the company where I transferred wouldn't be complete without mentioning Pearl. Who you? Hehe

Common Interests Uncovered

As we jumped from one subject to another (as random as "Limang piso pala ang bayad 'pag nagpadala ka ng piso sa probinsya"), there were fun little discoveries like our unwavering interest in Patty Laurel's blog. Tipong kung may quiz bee, puwede kaming maging pares at kapag may tanong na 'di agad masagot, matataranta kami't mapapabulong ng "Teka, alam ko 'to eh... Kasunod 'to ng post niya noong..." We agreed that her type of positivity is something we admire.

To my amazement, pareho rin pala kaming Sun Wifi subscriber! :p

Assignment

Yup, nag-notes pa talaga si Angie dahil kapag may topics with the option to learn more, they're considered as homework

  • She'd help me find out how to contact a missing friend whom I already attempted to reach through email and Facebook pero wala talaga. Unfortunately, after we graduated, I never heard from her eh samantalang regular kaming nag-iisaw noon.
  • She'll send me a historical guy's picture ;-)
  • She'll listen to the song "If We Try"
  • She confirmed attendance to my milestone event on the year 2015. Walang bawian!

Siyempre puro siya lang ang may homework.

From Hawaianas to Havaianas

At last, nakilala ko na rin ang kapatid ng mumu ko, who should have earned a commission for convincing me to try Havaianas.

  • 'Di basta napupudpod
  • Komportable
  • 'Di agad kumukupas kung printed
Ang dali ko raw kausap. Hehe

Come to think of it, this is symbolic in terms of how Angie and I relate with each other. Malayo man ang marating, matagal man magkahiwalay, 'di rin basta "mapupudpod." Komportable ang pagsasama, at 'di kumukupas ang saya.
