Adventures This May

Let me bid goodbye to this month by writing about the exciting things that just transpired. For the first time, my parents and I were able to experience Zoobic Safari. Thanks to the Waze app, we found our way to the zoo. While there is a night safari on Saturdays, we were only able to make it on a Sunday due to our work schedules.

The tour is comprised of the following:

1. Zoobic Park
Pasikat na Sun Conure from South America

"The Relative" - 'Pag nag-aasaran ang nanay at tatay ko

Dromedary Camel from the Arabian Peninsula and Australia

2. Serpentarium
3. Zoobic Cave
4. Tiger Safari Ride - To entice the tiger, we had a group contribution for the raw chicken worth 220 bucks. Unfortunately (and fortunately), the zoo personnel failed to coordinate with the driver so we didn't have the chicken on our first ride. When we returned, one of the ladies shouted "Oo, chicken yan!" The irritated driver drove us back, this time with traffic building up and the sole tiger becoming snobbish. Busog na kasi. Hehe!

But good things come to those who wait. After a few minutes, the tiger started looking towards us then aimed for the piece of meat.

5. Close Encounter
6. Savannah - While aboard the tram, the tour guide warned: "The ostrich is unpredictable. Don't get off. Otherwise, make sure you can run 80 kilometers per hour."

7. Bone Muzooeum
8. Aetas' Trail
9. Croco Loco

I realized this is the first time I got to enjoy the zoo as an adult. It is indeed a good idea to visit on a weekend, rather than go malling.

Also this month, I joined the outing of Team Carl held at Kapitan's Liwa Resort in San Felipe, Zambales. This is not your "chillax" type of beach as the waves come in rapidly and strong. We would often stay close to the group and even hold hands to keep our stance. For short people like me, the technique is to jump as the wave approaches (para hindi lamunin ang buo mong pagkatao). Hehe!

Lastly, Marrian, my best friend since grade 2, is now a CPA. This is another testament to the realization of dreams through perseverance, determination and faith. As I said with the Tiger Safari ride above, good things come to those who wait (mai-connect lang talaga!).
