Bohol Firsts
My first domestic flight was to Tacloban via Cebu Pacific. That was for an activity of the church organization back then. But as part of the job in Sheka and The Morning Show, it is my first time to fly to Tagbilaran, Bohol via PAL (and the 5:30 am flight schedule allowed me to enjoy the skies better). With this trip came a lot of firsts starting with a personal calamity. But overall, the experience had been fabulous.
1. First time to be asked for a PIN after having turned my phone off for takeoff. The result: Enter PUK code.
2. Stayed at Chocolate Hills Hotel and Restaurant
3. Taped cooking demos for Chicken Hinalang (spicy native chicken with coconut milk, onion, pepper, ginger and red chilies, like a version of curried chicken), Fried Native Chicken, Bohol Embutido, Ube Jam from the Kinampay variety, organic Cassava pie, and a drink called Kinutil (made of Tuba and Chocolate)
4. Featured livelihood projects in the municipality of Carmen including the handloom, basket-weaving, and banana chips making.
5. First time to enjoy a full body massage by a blind masseur
6. Drove the ATV (all terrain vehicle) to Seven Sisters. Had a nice lunch with a fantastic view of the seven hills + "one suitor"
7. Ate Makopa for the first time. (Okay, don't ask me if I'm Filipino)
8. Came close to a Loboc Tarsier
9. Stopped by the man-made forest
10. Visited the San Pablo Apostol and St. Anthony de Abbot churches
I love this job!
