We Heart Leggings
While at work, Maui's outfit caught my attention and encouraged me to feel the texture of the fabric. Haha. A few minutes later, three of us are talking about havens for legging fans such as Divisoria, Market!Market! and Circle C. Yes, we understand that leggings are everywhere nowadays but we are after the affordable prices and a wide array of designs. It's good to know that there are women who love to shop for leggings, while others might consider them uncool. We wear them because:
- It's so comfortable (as Frannie says, like you're wearing nothing)
- You can show off your curves
- It prevents the yucky feeling of sweaty legs against denim pants. Moreover, it offers more leg room while helping to avoid the accidental exposure of the butt crack. - Rosanna Noel, Web Support Specialist, 25
- Free bodily movement. You can sit or hop however you like without worrying about harsh impact on your skin.
- It's a versatile piece which can be dressed up or down. You just have to be creative in mixing and matching it with footwear, accessories and tops.
- It can also be worn by men. In fact, there are the so-called meggings, and the only question is whether you would allow your man to wear them!
Leggings are not without warnings. Expert advice reminds us to wear seamless underwear so unsightly bulges may be avoided or better yet, wear a top that ends below the camel toe (outline of a female's labia majora). And never wear it when you have your period. Period.
