Staycation at The Manila Hotel
Our family stayed for two nights at The Manila Hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. Their staff is well-trained, polite and friendly. Checking in took some time but it was understandable since it was the Holy Week.
We had our first snack at the lobby lounge and I immediately picked their Afternoon Tea set while my parents chose Tuna Sandwich and Wonton Soup.
Our Tower Deluxe Double or Twin Room was spacious for me, my husband, and our toddler. I like the height of the bed and our Intramuros view. Though I really prefer a view of the bay and the pool. I booked the same room type for my parents. Something unique about our stay was their complimentary fruits and chocolates.
The only inconvenience was that the bell service had to call us four times to verify our luggage and seemed confused. Meals took time, but again it was understandable due to the volume of guests.
We loved the interiors, fast elevators, buffet breakfast at Cafe Ilang Ilang that came with my reservation, and valet service. The pool was okay too, though the area had been busy on Saturday (noontime) and it took a while for us to find a table and chairs where we could leave our things.
We hope that they can add a kids play area, preferably on the ground floor.
