Radio Internship Just Ended
During leisure time, Meline and I are fond of doodling. Actually, even when we’re expected to busy ourselves with our internship “seatworks”, we get to put down crazy notes in her yellow post-its. Scripts like:
ANCHOR:Tatlong Pinay, nakarating na sa tuktok ng Mount Everest. Problema? ‘Di makabalik! Narito si Emeline Andrade, nag-uulat mula sa tuktok ng Mount Everest. Mel, pa’no ka makakababa niyan?
Mel: ‘Di ko alam!
When Joan recorded her sports segment, Sir Edwin laughed with us upon hearing the word “kumulapso.” I bet it’s a translation of “collapsed.” I suggested terms like “bumulusok ang karera sa boksing” and “tumumba” as replacements. Haha.
Laughter intensified when while recording way passed lunch time, Meline asked if the equipment won’t automatically shut down. She thought everything stops at 12 pm as the well-lit corridors transform into dark allies.
“It takes one to roll the master tape. Once started, everything gets rollin’. Yeah!” Ang nagsabi niyan ay isang co-intern na ayaw magpakilala kaya itatago sa pangalang Emeline Gonzales Andrade.
For the program planning, I suggested having Sensual Moments from 6 to 7am (Tulog pa ang KBP.) Tagline would be “Gising ka na ba?”
To my pleasure, I got ones in all of the aspects included in the KBP evaluation form with remarks like: good writing skills, good voice, has a potential for work in the media industry.
