Hostile Situation
Last Thursday, we had another lecture that aims to help future journalists in dealing with hostile situations. Sir Louie Domingo from the Emergency Resource Center talked about anti-terrorism and did everything he could to not make it sound like Bombing 101.
An important warning: Something that is there and is not supposed to be there is a threat. So expect future dialogues like this:
Me: O, ba’t andito ka?
X Man: Am I not supposed to be here?
Me: You’re a bomb, man!
And one more thing: Do not use electronic and mobile gadgets near a suspected package. It might be the trigger. This could happen to you: “Sir, may bomba ho di...” BOOM!
In dealing with bombs, we follow the rule of thumb. With your thumb and arm outstretched and the sides of the bomb still visible, you’re too close. So next time that you see a sex bomb, don’t hesitate to give that OK gesture. ;-)
