Java Finches

It's been a while since I wrote about Birdie Updates. Now this piece is long overdue because we got two Java Finches (also known as sparrow) from a mobile vendor on November 25, 2022 and we named them Penny and Guin. Together, they look like penguins. Haha! Nice names, right?

They seemed to have gained weight after two months!

My parents didn't have pets so we left these two with them. My mom doesn't complain about them because unlike parakeets and lovebirds that vocalize especially in the morning, Java finches are quiet.

We've provided a big cage with perch, ladder, food, and water container but later on my dad bought more accessories including a place for them to bathe, new drinking and food containers, a toy, and a nest!

Unlike parakeets and two lovebirds which we have tamed, they behave differently though. They fly away with the slightest movement. We still love them nonetheless.
