Love Adviser

Me: You know mom, maybe I’m meant to be single; ‘coz I don’t want to cook for my husband, nor iron his clothes... I wanna live alone.
Ma: You know anak, no man is an island.
Me: Okay, I concede.

Now here’s the second installment of Look Who’s Talking: Secrets of fulfilling relationships!
1. If we love someone, we need to consider his or her needs and desires.
2. The secret formula of a happy, lifelong, loving relationship is to always focus on what you can give instead of what you can take.
3. To find a true love, you must first find a true friend.
4. Even in a loving relationship, people need their own space. If we want to learn to love, we must first learn to forgive and let go of past hurts and grievances. Love means letting go of our fears, prejudices, egos and conditions.
5. Commitment distinguishes a fragile relationship from a strong one.
6. Passion can be created by recreating past experiences when you felt passionate. Spontaneity and surprises produce passion.
7. Without trust, one person becomes suspicious, anxious and fearful and the other person feels trapped and emotionally suffocated.

And if you’re still on the hunt, I suggest that you go for Batangueños ‘coz they’re simple lang and masarap magmahal. Trust the expert. My mom plus other colleagues share the same sentiment. ;-)
