From 8am to 5pm today, my friends and I were at the Ortigas center for a conference titled Journalists as Bloggers. That's from where I learned about the new links that you can see in my sidebar with the heading "Sila-Sila." Why don't you click one now? ;-) By the way, I had fun (I hope my companions did too) starting from the morning commute. While inside the MRT, I came across this notice:
Ilaan ang upuang ito sa buntis, may kapansanan, at matatanda.
-Tagapamahala
In that order? What if all three of them were standing beside the seat? Shall they make kandong? Note that the conjunction "at" was used here. Pondering on these, I stared at the woman sitting there, dead to the world. She doesn't seem to be pregnant, nor handicapped. Surely, she isn't a senior citizen. Probably, this is the tagapamahala.

Before I took the stairs at the station, a message above the elevator door read:
Para sa may kapansanan.
"Wow, this is really it," I thought. It's such a good thing that the management gives special treatment to those who need and deserve it. Then I realized that the elevator's out of order. It needs attention... it has kapansanan.

At the Linden Suites: Everything is automatic?!
This is where the conference was held. Due to the coldness that we felt inside the function room, Jam and I frequented the CR. There, one doesn't have to turn or push the faucet handles. Automatically, the dryer runs immediately after putting your hand beneath (this is not surprising, though). Laughing at ourselves, we imagined how this hell of a place could turn to an "automatic center" where the toilets flush themselves and where an invisible hand wipes your eew after peeing. The climax: Linden Suites folds to rest at night. When the conference finally came to a close, we gladly picked some Linden pencils. Thanks again for this give-away. Yumyum.

Headed back home, it happened to be my first time to ride at the first couch of the MRT. Amazed upon seeing the operator, a weird image crossed my mind: a MRT that is de-padyak... and the driver's hair is dancing with the wind. Wake up, this is Dapitan station. Passengers, get ready for Bicol! Bwahaha...

The important question? Is MRT shock-proof? How can it manage through an earthquake? Rusell explains that if one occurs, the train would fall to the ground and continue running (refer to the law of inertia), taking lives. Or, it would change its route: We'll be rising to the heavens!

Having gotten off the train, I saw a Wanted poster containing twelve faces. Sadly, I walked away because my face wasn't there. I am Unwanted.

Parehong kasaklapan, Oo. Pero ano na ang mas malala?

Live each day as if it were your last. Furnish a coffin. Get those fresh flowers and bright candles ready.

Buti pa sila, may tiyak na patutunguhan. 'Pag natapos ang accountancy at naipasa ang board, accountant ang tawag. 'Pag Law, lawyer. E 'pag Mass Comm? Mass communicator? Magiging mukhang dyaryo raw. Ok lang naman, kaysa sa mga Banking and Finance graduates na magmumukhang pera. Nakakatawa ang naisip ng prof ni best friend Ludwig: maglalagay sa multiple choice exam ng letter E. Hindi "all of the above" kundi "one of these."
